My FlyCASE TV hangs at power on or in use. What can I do ?

When using your FlyCASE TV, the following may sometimes occur:
- Your FlyCASE TV displays a “Data corrupted” error message at Power-On.
- Your FlyCASE TV displays “can’t play this file”, and you are sure that the file is present on the FlyCASE TV.
- Your FlyCASE TV is stuck on the “INIT” message displayed at Power-On and locks or does not start normally.
In these cases, you are advised to format the FlyCASE TV to correct the problem. To format the FlyCASE TV, it is mandatory to use the FAT32 File System format.

How to format the FLYCASE TV ?
It is important to format the FlyCASE TV in FAT32 file system (see note). The Disk manager of Windows XP allows you to carry out this type of formatting, but does not allow you to do it on disks of high capacity. You will have to thus use the PIKAONE format software available on our Internet site: PikaFormat

Note : If the File System format of the FLYCASE TV is incorrect (e.g. Windows NTFS, MAC HFS ..), the FLYCASE TV will post the Data corrupted or Disk not Found error message at Power ON.

Note : It is important to carry out correctly the disconnection of the FLYCASE TV.
In fact, a bad disconnection can corrupt the internal hard disk of your FLYCASE TV and in certain cases, you will need the reformat it. To avoid that, please refer Manual « Disconnection of your FLYCASE TV ».

Can I use my FlyCASE TV under the LINUX operating system?

FlyCASE TV is not supported under LINUX. However, if the USB2 mass storage driver is correctly installed on your LINUX system, FlyCASE TV should function correctly.
However, FlyCASE TV does not support the OGG Vorbis format music files used under Linux.

03 >
Which problem could I meet if I connect my FLYCASE TV on a USB 1.1 port and not on a USB 2 port?

The only difficulty that should meet to you is a slow speed of the file transfer. Indeed, the data transfer speed on a port USB 2 is 480 Mb/Sec. On a port USB 1, it is only 12 Mb/Sec, that is to say 40 times slower.
Note
: that you will be able to also have a problem of slowness if the pilot of your chart USB2 is not correctly installed.

04 >
Windows Media Player burned my CD in WMA format, how can I do to directly convert my tracks into MP3 format?

In standard mode, Windows media player converts CD audio into a WMA file. To convert into MP3 format, you will have to get the MP3 plug-in from the website windowsmedia.com .

How do I put music files on my FlyCASE TV?

After connecting your FlyCASE TV to your Computer via the USB port, the device will be detected by your computer and configured in the same way as a standard hard disk. You can then organise your FlyCASE TV as you wish by dragging and dropping the multimedia files you want from the source device to the « \MUSIC, \VIDEO, \IMAGES .. » directories of your FlyCASE TV. The source can be an internal or external disk on your computer or other source (Internet for example). You can also copy other files; that will enable you to keep a backup copy of your personal files. You simply have to create a directory in the root of your FlyCASE TV (e.g. MYDOCUMENTS) as indicated below. An example of the file structure organization of your FlyCASE TV is presented hereafter:

06 >
Where can I find documentation and software relating to the FlyCASE TV?

PikaOne don’t provide a CD with the FlyCASE TV. The Acrobat Reader for Windows software, the user’s guides, are available under THE FLTV directory of your FlyCASE TV and it is accessible via the USB interface on your MAC and Windows computer. We highly RECOMMEND you to copy the FLTV directory TO the hard disk of your computer and then to delete it on your FlyCASE TV in order to FREE UP THE SPACE occupied by these files on your FlyCASE TV.
